Tom Tongs

 

Tom is a Chartered Building Surveyor and military veteran with experience spanning consultancy, strategic leadership, and complex project delivery. A Member of both RICS and APM, he brings a strong blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and operational discipline developed across two distinct careers.

Tom served nine years as a British Army Officer in the Royal Engineers, leading teams on multiple operational tours, before transitioning into property consultancy in 2019. Since then, he has built broad consultancy experience across dilapidations, technical due diligence, and project monitoring for landlords, tenants, and funders, developing a clear, commercially focused and client-led approach.

He has delivered projects across logistics, retail, office, rural estate development and diversification, independent schools, and bespoke residential. Tom has particular experience in the logistics and industrial sector, acting for both occupiers and developers on significant schemes.
