Lyla Hodson

Lyla joined Childerstone in July 2026 as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor on her Year in Industry placement while studying for a BSc in Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying at Loughborough University.

As part of the Childerstone team, Lyla is gaining experience across a variety of projects and developing an understanding of the construction process from inception through to completion. Her role provides exposure to both the commercial and project management aspects of project delivery, including cost management, procurement, budgeting, contract administration and project coordination.

Through her placement year, Lyla is building valuable industry experience while applying her academic learning in practice and developing the skills needed for a successful career in the built environment.
